Edtech new normal

After a months of enhance community quarantine to modified enhance community finally thank God because we are now in general community quarantine. It indicate to us that there is gradual process of betterment that were facing right now this global pandemic covid- 19. In this GCQ we heard about this new normal our government set a new guidelines of our daily living. This new normal was strictly  implemented in public places, work place and in our community new normal is our new norm of living to stop the spread of the virus. it is a big challenge for us this major change because we are not yet familiar for this but we must abide from this policy and embrace this new normal while we are waiting for the solution for this Global problem.

New normal was being introduce also by deped because we are not yet allowed  to go back in face to face interaction between students and teacher. I read an article about the new normal in education that there is some steps being experimenting while this ecq was still going. This march deped forcely  stopped all classes from basic to higher education beacuase of the threat of this virus. Based on the news some experiment being conducted by Deped to explore new modes of learning which they are introducing blended learning, through the use of online platform this apps or software being explore such as google classroom,fb chat,facebook, zoom and many other apps. ALS (alternative learning system)introduce ICT4ALS and aralmuna apps. DEPED also partnership in our radio station  to announce question and lesson that can be replied through phones.for those learner from remote areas which have limited source of internet connection. There are door to door delivery of worksheet,take home activity sheets and portfolio compilation. These modalities are being explored during this quarantine period.       

The big question arise now “are we ready for this new kind of platform of learning?”can our schools teacher and faculty can cater all the learner specially for those who are belong to the poorest of the poor?. It is not common for us students to have a lack of internet connection and some cant be able to afford load regurlarly for our class.this concerned need to be considered by our schools and our local government unit for the welfare of our students.education technology is our new thread today however it faces a big challenge to have a conducive learning. Theirs a big role playing for the educator to this new kind of learning. It takes a lot of preparation and being creative and love for this profession will be tested. This new normal is what being focus today but I want to see again to be back in normal not that new normal were we are living in peaceful surrounding. Peaceful surrounding is one of the major key of conducive learning and praying that this global crisis will be end soon and will have the concrete solution for this virus.
